MENSTRUAL HYGIENE TOUR, ALWALEED COMPREHENSIVE BASIC SCHOOL– the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 16th of February, 2019, we teamed up with RAM foundation to commence the Menstrual Hygiene Tour. We started the project from Alwaleed Comprehensive Basic School by engaging girls on Menstrual and Reproductive Health Education. They were taught best practices to maintain optimum health during the monthly menstrual cycle and the need to not be shy of bleeding. The students and few other girls in the community were also given free sanitary pads at the end of the engagement.

 

DONATION OF EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES TO TAIFA POLYCLINIC- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 11th of January, 2019, we teamed up with Madam Akweley Plahar, a philanthropist and director of the Jerry4Library and project, and His Excellency Mike Ocquaye, Ghana’s High Commissioner to India to make donations of hospital equipment and consumables.

 

DONATION OF EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES TO KPONE HEALTH CENTRE- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 27th of December, 2018, we teamed up with Madam Akweley Plahar, a philanthropist and director of the Jerry4Library project to make donations of hospital equipment and consumables to Kpone health Centre. Among the items donated were wheel chairs, drip stands, medical consumables such as packs of cotton pads, gauze packs, infusion sets, boxes of syringes and needles, IV catheters and boxes of hand gloves.

FIRST AID TRAINING FOR STAFF, BILINGUAL ACADEMY OF CHILDREN- Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

On the 1st of December, 2018, we organised a train program for staffs of Bilingual Academy of Children, in first Aid.

 

HEALTH SCREENING, BILINGUAL ACADEMY OF CHILDREN- Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

On the 28th of November, 2018, we organised a free screening for the kids and staffs of Bilingual Academy of Children, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

 

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR KIDS, BILINGUAL ACADEMY OF CHILDREN- Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

On the 27th of November, 2018, we organised a mentorship program for the kids of Bilingual Academy of Children, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. We also gifted educational materials to the school kids.

THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST, CENTRAL ASSEMBLY, MAMOBI – the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 3rd of November, 2018 we collaborated with PENT TV to screen, educate and give out drugs for free to both adults and students at the church of Pentecost, Mamobi Central Assembly.

 

MOUNT CARMEL MINISTRIES, PRAYER SANCTUARY, AGBAKOPE- the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 19th of October, 2018 on the invitation from Mount Carmel ministries, a prayer sanctuary in Agbakope, in the Volta region of Ghana, we carried out an extensive screening exercise for both adults and children for free. We also educated and screened those we saw.

 

St. LUKE ANGLICAN CHURCH, KWASHIEMAN- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On 14th of October, 2018, during the breast cancer awareness month (October), we screened and educated both adults and children for free at Kwashieman Anglican church.

 

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS AND GENERAL HEALTH SCREENING, KPETOE the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 9th of October, 2018 we collaborated with Madam Ruby Prah, a senior Nursing Staff at 37 hospital to carry out Breast Cancer Awareness and general health screening in Kpetoe.

 

DONATION OF EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMABLES TO HOSPITALS AND HEALTH FACILITIES, ACCRA AND TEMA- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 23rd of August, we teamed up with Madam Akweley Plahar, a philanthropist and director of the Jerry4Library project to make donations of hospital equipment and consumables. It was a great atmosphere seeing health professionals excited about equipment and consumables being donated to them for the use of patients. Among the items donated were wheel chairs, drip stands, medical consumables such as packs of cotton pads, gauze packs, infusion sets, boxes of syringes and needles, IV catheters and boxes of hand gloves. Hospitals and Clinics who benefitted from the first round of the donation exercise included Oak Street Clinic and Laboratory in Teshie, LEKMA Hospital in Teshie, Family Health Hospital in Teshie, Tema General Hospital, New Crystal Hospital in Tema and Tema Polyclinic.

 

DISCUSSION ON DEPRESSION, ADABRAKA, CASTLE ROAD- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 11th of August, we teamed up with Alliance For Behavioural Wellness to discuss about Depression.

 

DONATION TO AN ORPHANAGE, SAINT ANNA’S FAMILY HOME, WINNEBA- the Central Region of Ghana.

On the 29th of July, 2018, we carried out a donation exercise that was headed by one of the leaders of CLITH, Dr. Theophilus Acquah. We donated items to Saint Anna’s Family Home, an orphanage in Winneba.

 

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LABELING, ACCRA- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 21st of July, 2018, we engaged in the labeling and sorting of medical equipment and medical consumables, that were to be donated in different hospitals and health facilities across the country.

 

REPUBLIC HEALTH SCREENING, TEMA STATION, ACCRA- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 1st of July, 2018 on the Republic Day of Ghana, we collaborated with 5loaves 2fishes Ghana, a charity organization in Ghana to screen, assess, diagnose and offer treatments (medications) to about 500 street children, hawkers and others at the Tema lorry station in Accra. We also feed those who we screened and we provided bouncing castles for the kids around.

VITILIGO AWARENESS TOUR, CLIMAX- the Volta Region of Ghana.

On the 25th of June, 2018, we climax the secondary school tour, visiting more schools, to engage in more public interactions.

VITILIGO AWARENESS TOUR, KETA BUSINESS SECONDARY SCHOOL, KETA- the Volta Region of Ghana.

On the 22nd of June, 2018, for the World Vitiligo Day, we teamed up with Vitiligo Ghana, and other organisations, for a Vitiligo Awareness Schools tour. We visited Keta Business Secondary School, Keta. We educated people on the condition and the need to stop stigmatization.

 

VITILIGO AWARENESS TOUR, KETA SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOL, KETA- the Volta Region of Ghana.

On the 21st of June, 2018, for the World Vitiligo Day, we teamed up with Vitiligo Ghana, and other organisations, for a Vitiligo Awareness Schools tour. We visited Keta Secondary Technical School, Keta. We educated people on the condition and the need to stop stigmatization.

 

ISLAMIC RESEARCH CENTRE – the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 28th of May, 2018, for the Menstrual Hygiene Day. We teamed up with RAM foundation to engage girls at the Islamic Research Centre, Nima on Menstrual and Reproductive Health Education. The girl child was reminded of how special she is and power therein to change the world. They were taught best practices to maintain optimum health during the monthly menstrual cycle and the need to not be shy of bleeding. MOTHERS’ DAY DONATION, TETTEY QUARSHIE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN AKWAPEM MAMPONG- the Eastern Region of Ghana.

On the 13th of May, 2018, on mothers’ day in Ghana, we volunteered with Centre for National Affairs (CNA), and we paid a visit to the maternity ward of Tettey Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Akwapem Mampong, where we donated some items to the mothers and the unit. This was carried out with the Executive Director of National Communication Authority (NCA), a senior presidential staffer, a deputy communications minister, a director from the National Youth Authority (NYA), the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Akwapem North, other officials and several different professionals who volunteered.

 

MODEC/TULLOW OIL GHANA- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On Thursday 26th of April, 2018 we delivered a health talk at Modec/Tullow Oil Ghana during their Safety Meeting.

 

THE STREETS OF ACCRA MALL- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

To celebrate the Valentine’s Day, we collaborated with UCL Consult Charity Foundation and JCI Accra Royale, to serve breakfast and screen the homeless for free. The project was themed: TURNING SORROW INTO JOY. It was held on the Streets of Accra Mall, on the 14th of February, 2018.

 

ST. MARK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, ASHONGMAN ESTATE- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 7th of January, 2018, we returned to St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Ashongman Estate to conduct another vaccination exercise for Hepatitis B.

 

IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE-the Volta Region of Ghana.

On the 25th of December 2017, Christmas Day, we were out with some thoughtful citizens to Abor in the Volta Region for a donation, screening and Christmas party with In My Father’s House Orphanage.

 

CHARITY BAZAAR, TESHIE- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 23rd of December, 2017, we carried out a free Screening and Vaccination at a Pre-Christmas Charity Bazaar at Teshie. We screened and interacted with children

 

ST. MARK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, ASHONGMAN ESTATE- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 10th of December, 2017, we had a vaccination exercise for Hepatitis B at St Mark’s Catholic Church, Ashongman Estate, Accra.

 

AGLOGBLOSHIE MARKET- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 30th of November, 2017, courtesy Access Bank PLC; we screened the men and women of Agbogbloshie market for Hypertension, Obesity and Breast diseases/cancer. We also educated them on Family planning and also distribute mosquito nets for free.

 

SEVA, ANLO-the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 24th of November 2017 we educated, screened and interacted with a community in Anlo. It was the 75th Anniversary of the A.M.E Zion Church and Basic Schools in SEVA near Anyako, in the volta region. We gave smiles, we gave credible health information, we gave an opportunity to have a medical check-up at Zero cost!

 

ZENITH BANK, TEMA, COMMUNITY 25- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 22nd of November, 2017, we had a talk at Zenith Bank around Community 25, Tema, Accra. We spoke to the staffs of Zenith Bank about Stress management.

 

St. MARK CATHOLIC CHURCH, ASHONGMAN ESTATE- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

During the breast cancer awareness month (October) we were in church to change lives through health⛪. On the 29th October, 9 am, in the year of our Lord 2017 we were at St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashongman estate. We had a great time in the house of the Lord and in the presence of His people. We screened and educated both adults and children for free. We also carried out breast cancer screening ️️.

THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST, ACHIMOTA AREA-TAIFA DISTRICT, EBENEZER ASSEMBLY– the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 30th of September, 8am, in the year of our Lord 2017 we were in church⛪,The Church of Pentecost, Achimota Area-Taifa District, Ebenezer Assembly, to do God’s work. Not to lay hands on people to fall under the anointing, but to touch people and change their lives through HEALTH ⛑. We screened, educated and gave out drugs for free to both adults and students.

 

MIMI’S DENTAL LABORATORY, LABADI – the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the same day as we screened in Ehie-Agbozume, in the Volta region, on the 23rd of September, 2017, we had another team on the invitation of Mimi’s dental laboratory, labadi to screen and educate their workers.

 

EHIE-AGBOZUME-the Volta Region of Ghana

By far, #CLITHSeptember was awesome and the several hundreds of clients we screened and treated, and thousands we educated will attest to that.
On the 23rd of September, 2017 witnessed a laudable milestone. CLITH worked in two communities (several kilometres apart) concurrently. Yes, while the majority of our team travelled to Ehi in the Volta region, a few professionals were dispatched to Labadi, suburb of Accra. In all we screened and treated over 600 clients on Saturday, the 2nd of September, 2016.
Our visit to Ehi was in honour of a visit from the Torgbi (chief) of Ehi to screen all the members of his community as they celebrate their annual Gali za (Garri festival). This was our second visit to the community as we were there during last year’s celebration.
It was a lovely and fulfilling scene in Ehi.

 

ABANDZE VILLAGE- the Central Region of Ghana.

On the 16th of September, 2017, medical professionals from our NGO teamed up with CHILD HAVEN FOUNDATION GHANA, and NGO, to interact, educate, consult and provide free screening for the people of ABANDZE VILLAGE in the Central Region of Ghana

 

TECH FAIR, AGBOZUME- the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 15th September, 2017, we teamed up with a couple of young social entrepreneurs on a tech fair event. We gave a health talk and had some interactions with some young students.

 

LAST DAYS GOSPEL CHURCH, KASOA- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 2nd September, 2017, we offered free health screening and education of the members of LAST DAYS GOSPEL CHURCH and members of the community, both children and adults. We screened and consulted for malaria, typhoid and hepatitis B.

 

ABUSA VILLAGE- the Eastern Region of Ghana

On the 29th of July, 2017, we teamed up with AMBASSADORS OF CHANGE, an NGO to make the WORLD HEPATITIS DAY in ABUSA VILLAGE in the Eastern Region of Ghana to provide free health screening and education. A lot of observations were made. Quality Health Care is a challenge for the people living there, There is no Health Care Facility in the town, They are unable to afford it, because they do not have enough money.

Upon having a one on one chat with the people who tested positive for malaria, it was also discovered that they take paracetamol instead of malaria medication. It was also discovered that most of them do not sleep in treated mosquito nets. The elderly were also characterised with very high Blood Pressure (BP). Interestingly, our Doctors on duty could only give them referral letters to the nearest hospital close to their town as we were well equipped to tackle such cases. The sad part of this was that the family of these people said they could not afford to go to the hospital because of the expensive nor could they afford to buy the medications prescribed to them.

 

VITILIGO AWARENESS-HO- the Volta Region of Ghana.

On the 25th of June, 2017, we joined Miss Enam Heikeens Honya, a Vitiligo ambassador and her NGO, VITILIGO GHANA, to mark the WORLD VITILIGO DAY. The activities included a health walk and awareness exercise.

 

HO DOME R/C SCHOOL- the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 27th of May, 2017 we partnered with INSPIRING YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT GHANA and BALLOON VENTURES GHANA, with some of their volunteers from the United Kingdom. The event was characterised with mentoring and coaching, spelling bee, donation of educational materials, learning of a trade (liquid soap production, hand washing exercise, and free health screening and workshop.

CHORKOR-CHEMUNA- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 30th of March, 2017, we teamed up with one of our members; Miss Kafui as she celebrated her birthday in a deprived community to provide free health screening and education both children and adults. We carried out the exercise at CHORKOR-CHEMUNA. The event was also characterised with giving some of the community members food and drinks, and also the donation of some clothes and shoes to the community members.

 

FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (FACSSA)-UNIVERSITY OF GHANA, LEGON- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 15th of March, 2017, we teamed up with the FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (FACSSA) at the University of Ghana, Legon as part of their FACSSA week celebration to provide free health screening. We screened for Hepatitis B, HIV, and Malaria. We also checked the Body Mass Index (BMI) of the students and their blood group.

 

LEGON HALL-UNIVERSITY OF GHANA, LEGON- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana

On the 21th of March, 2017, as part of their hall week celebration, we offered free screening to the students of Legon Hall of the University of Ghana. We screened for Hepatitis B, HIV, and Malaria. We also checked the Body Mass Index (BMI) of the students and their blood group.

 

AFRICAN UNION HALL / PENTAGON- UNIVERSITY OF GHANA, LEGON- the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

On the 27th of February, 2017, we screened students of the AFRICAN UNION HALL, University of Ghana, also known as PENTAGON, as they celebrated their hall week, themed “the MOSAIC”. We screened for Hepatitis B, HIV, and Malaria. We also checked the Body Mass Index (BMI) of the students.

 

KETA HOSPITAL BLOOD AND ITEM DONATION-the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 1st of October, 2016 as part of our KETA/ANLOGA project, we carried out a blood donation exercise at KETA HOSPITAL and we also donated some items from one of our key sponsors, NESTLE GHANA.

 

KETA SECONDARY SCHOOL CLITH HEALTH CLUB LAUNCH-the Volta Region of Ghana

On the 30th of September, 2016 as part of our KETA/ANLOGA project, we launched our flagship health club project at KETA SECONDARY SCHOOL.

Ehie-Agbozume (Volta Region)
At the invitation of opinion leaders of the community, CLITH championed  a mobile clinic In Ehie, Agbozume in the Volta Region of Ghana on September 2, 2016 to commence the “GALI” festival.
Natives of all ages, young and old; male and female alike were carefully screened individually, diagnosed and treated of various health conditions.
Regardless of your age, status or location, CLITH intends to bring to your doorsteps QUALITY HEALTH CARE.

 

Agbakope (Volta Region)

As part of our aim to reach out to vulnerable communities, CLITH teamed up with PPAG and Agbakope Keep fit club to bring healthcare services Agbakope, a community in the Volta Region. Community members were screened for HIV/AIDS and common ailments such as Hypertension and Diabetes. They were also educated on good health practices and prevention of certain common illnesses.

Ampeleague (Greater Accra)

As part of efforts to curb the spread and effects of hepatitis, CLITH powered the health segment of Ampeleague16, an annual social event. This year’s programme, the cap edition educated and screened for hepatitis at zero cost on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Astros Park, Dzorwulu-Accra between the hours of 0800GMT and 2200GMT.
